Blanche E. (Walter) Bowser, 85, of Butler died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003 at Evergreen Nursing Home, Harmony, where she resided for two years.
She was born Sept. 25, 1917 in Tarentum to Clifford and Ida Mae Walter.

Mrs. Bowser worked at Butler Hospital for five years.

She was a member of Center Hill Church of the Brethren.

She enjoyed quilting.

Survivors include three sons, Harry Bowser of Streetsboro, Ohio, Richard Bowser and John Bowser, both of Franklin; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Nickle and Donna Bowser, both of Butler; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, George Walter of Florida; and one sister, Ruth McElmeel of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry C. Bowser, who died in January 1975; and 10 brothers and sisters.

BOWSER — Friends of Blanche E. (Walter) Bowser, 85, of Butler, who died Feb. 11, 2003, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday with her pastor, the Rev. Wesley Berkebile, officiating. Burial will be in Center Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Arrangements by Snyder-Crissman.
