Robert Taylor Parris, 53, Jefferson City, died Nov. 10, 1999, at his farm in Callaway County.He was born Dec. 27, 1945, in Jefferson City, a son of Eugene and Marie Adrain Parris. His mother survives in Jefferson City. He was married Oct. 28, 1967, in Taos, to Kathy Frank, who survives at the home.

He was a 1964 graduate of Helias High School. He worked for the Jefferson City Public Schools, Weber Equipment, Westphalia, and was a cattle farmer. He was a lifelong Catholic and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Amy Fifer, Jefferson City, and Betsy Lock, Holts Summit; five brothers, Adrain Parris, Kansas City, Kan., Thomas Parris and Jerry Parris, both of Jefferson City, James Parris, Holts Summit, and John Parris, Lake of the Ozarks; three sisters, Shirley Gerling, Kansas City, Kan., Karen Gerling, Jefferson City, and Debbie Crede, Westphalia; and three grandsons.

Services will be at noon Friday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. The Rev. Michael Coleman will officiate. Burial will be in the Parris Family Farm near New Bloomfield. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 8:30 p.m. Visitation also will be from 10-11:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Red Cross or the Columbia Ronald McDonald House.
