John Wesley Haase, born Galena, Illinois, Dec. 15, 1867; died at home, 1920 W. 22nd St, Kearney, Nebr., May 26, 1942, age 74 years, 6 mo. 11 days

Son of Edward and Mary Schaefer Haase, both from Germany; family moved to a farm near Amherst, Nebr. in 1882.

Married 1) Miss Nettie Haase, 1889; she died 1915: children: Mrs. Ruth Hasse Hawkins of Grand Island, Nebr., Gerald Haase of Sacramento, Calif., Ernest Haase of Tucson, Ariz, and Blanche Hasse, deceased.

Married 2) Mrs. Grace A (Davis) Raymond who survives; children: Mrs. Helen Haase Frazer of Kearney and Miss Bonnie Haase at home.

Other survivors: 2 step-daughters, Mrs. Ethel Barth of Kearney and Mrs. Dorothy Phillips of Oatman, Ariz.; two half-sisters, Myrtle Young of Rosewell, Calif., and Etta Morrison, Fresno, Calif.; a half brother Paul Haase, and 9 grandchildren, 2 nieces, and 4 nephews.
Joined the United Brethren church at Amherst in 1919.
