Lillian Lintner

Lillian M. Lintner, age 91 of Gillett, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Lillian was born on October 2, 1930 to the late Joe and Barbara (Tilger) Tyson in Valders. She graduated from Valders High School in 1949. Lillian met Merlin Lintner when she was 15 and he was 16, and they dated until their marriage on May 27, 1950. The couple lived in New Holstein for a short time, then Stevens Point, and finally moved to Gillett in 1953 where the couple eventually retired. Lillian was a loving wife and mother who cared very much for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, golfing, bowling, playing cards, and going to casinos. Lillian played on the Gillett Women's Softball Team for three championships.

Lillian is survived by her husband of 71 years, Merlin; 3 sons and daughter, Dale (Karlyn) Lintner, Linda (Ron) Natzke, Tim Lintner, and Dave (Paula) Lintner; grandchildren, Tim, Shane, Monica, Jessica, Andrea, Jamie; great-grandchildren, Sophie Gardiner, Abby Gardiner, Charley Gardiner, Jaxon Wolff, Talon Wolff, Nolan Wolff, Carson Lintner, Aiden Lintner, and Ariana Lintner. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and wonderful friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joe (Luella) Tyson; sisters, Susie (Bill) Fisher, Germaine (Dick) Buchner, Armella (Bob) Kretsch, Marion Tyson; father and mother-in-law, Ed and Alvina Lintner; sister-in-law, Bernice (Robert) Heineman; brother-in-law, Willis (Betty) Lintner.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at St. John Lutheran Church in Gillett from 9 am until the funeral service at 11 am with Pastor Chris Byars officiating. Lillian will be interred at Mt. Olive Lutheran Cemetery. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring is assisting the family with arrangements.
