Mrs. Britta Johnson died at her home in Collinwood last Monday. Some years ago she contracted a disease in her side by sleeping on the ice, from which she never recovered. Mrs. Johnson was born in Sweden in 1817 and came to America in 1869, locating in Duluth. After 18 months, she came to Meeker County which has been her home since. She is the mother of 11 children, eight of whom, along with her husband, survive. The funeral was conducted at home by the Rev. L. A. Horcanzon of Litchfield. Burial was at the Swedish [Steelesville] Cemetery in Collinwood.
