IN MEMORY of Mr. Walker, grave marker not found yet.
1820s - He born about either in Germany, or California, according to his daughter Emma's census records.
* Death date of Mr. Walker is unknown to me.
* 1860 Census, White County, Arkansas. Just before Mr. Walker married Mrs. Emmaline Newman, her neighbors included a Walker family. I do not know if this Walker was related to our Mr. Walker.
* 1864 - The Probate record of Emmaline's 1st husband Lazarus Newman stated that, she had left White County, Arkansas [maybe with her 2nd husband Mr. Walker, and her 1st four children].
* The probate record involved a different Mr. Walker, who lived next door, and helped handle the Probate appraisal.
* 1864 to 1865 - Mr. Walker married a Civil War widow Mrs. Emmaline Emily Emma A. (Brown) Newman [my g-aunt]. This time was between the death of her 1st husband in July 1863, and the birth of her last child in Sept 1866.
* 1866 Sept - Mr. Walker and Emmaline had their daughter Emily F. Walker, aka Mrs. Ransom D. Grider, then Mrs. Urban Lloyd Huggins of Alicia, Lawrence County, Arkansas.
* 1870 Census, location is unknown.
* 1880 Census, Bird, Arkansas. Emmaline is living in the adjacent county with her son James Edwards Newman, and daughter Emma F. Walker in a household with a John A. Edwards. I don't know if he was related to either Emmaline, or her 2 husbands.
I researched John's family, and he had a sister living nearby.
* 1880 Census, location of Emmaline's 3 older daughters, and their marriage information is unknown to me.
* 1900 - Lawrence County, Arkansas.
Mr. Walker's widow Mrs. Emma A. Walker is living with their daughter Mrs. Emily F. Huggins, her husband Dr. Urban Lloyd Huggins, and his last 2 children.
