Susan Frances (Robinson) Possner, 94, peacefully passed away on June 12th, 2016. Beloved Mother, Gramma, Aunt, and Friend. Her daughters, Teresa Taylor, Sheila Emery, and Monica Patterson and grandchildren, Sarah, Anastasia, Ben, James and Anabella miss her vibrant, creative, extraordinary self. Born in Boston, joined the Marine Corps, attended Boston University, graduated from University of Missouri. She met Louis Possner her husband of 45 years at Hughes Aircraft. She received a Masters from UCLA in Library Science and worked for the Long Beach Library for 17 years. Susan also won awards for writing articles, stories and poetry. She wrote the book "Bye, Bye Blackbird". She was the President of Literary Women and loved current events, politics, dancing, reading, the LB Unitarian Church and her family. Her legacy is "Go for it!" There will be a "Celebration of Life" for Susan Possner at the Long Beach Unitarian Church, 5450 E. Atherton St. 8/20/16 at 2:00 pm.
