BETHUNE, ARNOLD, 96 Flemington - Arnold Bethune, 96, of Flemington, passed away Friday, April 27, 2007 at Munroe Regional Medical Center. Mr. Bethune was born to the late James Bethune and Annie Rowe in Archer, Florida. He retired from Ford Motor Company in Detroit, Michigan in 1965 and returned back home in that same year and has resided in Flemington since. He was a member of Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Flemington, Florida. He is survived by 8 children, Janie Bethune, Miami, Florida, Jean Bethune, Largo, Florida, Barnell Evans, Ike Evans, Leah Riggien Broomfield, Rosa Evans, all of Clearwater, Florida, Leo Bethune, Detroit, and Ruberdia Grant, Kansas; one daughter who proceeded him in death Thelma Bethune; 23 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; three sisters,, Curleane Lazier, Brendon Florida, Rotha Johnson, Clearwater, Florida, and Altmese Tucker of Flemington, Florida; two brothers: Simmie Lee Gordon, Flemington, Florida and Arionza Gordon, Reddick, Florida. Services for Mr. Bethune will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Flemington, Florida at 11 a.m. with Rev. Micheal L. Maeweathers officiating and Rev. Izell James, Sr., delivering the Message. Burial will follow immediately in the Greater New Bethel Cemetery, Flemington, Florida. Services are under the direction of CARNEGIE FUNERAL HOME, 217 SE 4th Ave., Chiefland, FL (352) 493-1857. Visitation hours will be held on Friday at Greater New bethel in Flemington from 6 - 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services. "There will be no viewing after the message". The family is asked to assemble at the home of Mrs. Janie Bethune (17440 Hwy. 329 Flemington, Florida) on Saturday at 10:15 a.m. to form the cortege. Please have all floral arrangement delivered to the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. or the church on Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m..
