Catharine Hawk was born to Jonathan Hawk and Catharine Maisch. She married Hugh Bowman on January 1, 1856 ( per her 164 page pension record from his death in the Rev War). She gave birth to 3 sons from that marriage; Milton Henry Bowman ( 1856 - 1948), Frances M Bowman ( 1859 - 1862), & Oscar Rueben Bowman (1862 - 1922). She then remarried to Lemuel Foster on November 27, 1873; to this union one child was born, Lemuel Ambrose Foster ( 1875 - 1956).
