Margaret Fleetwood is the daughter of James Thomas Fleetwood and Elizabeth Cortul Fleetwood. Margaret was the oldest known child of the couple and had three younger brothers named Solomon Fleetwood, Elisha Fleetwood and Isaac Fleetwood, and a younger sister, Leanner Fleetwood.

Her gravesite is unmarked at the present time. Her original stone was carved from Sandstone and has since disintegrated.
