Daughter of John Lawrence and Charlotte Lawrence (nee Hodges), John was a labourer.

Emma was baptised on the 2nd October 1842, at St Nicholas church, Ash, Kent.

She married James Hammond on the 18th October 1863, at St Nicholas Church, Ash, Kent, and they had 8 children.
