Richard Crescenze, age 86, of Massillon, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. He was born in Massillon, Ohio on March 8, 1936, to the late Steve and Mary (Porrini) Crescenze.

As a young man, Richard was a standout quarterback for the Massillon Tigers. After graduating high school, he proudly served his county as a member of the United States Army where he received a Good Conduct Medal and met the love of his life. He remained an athlete through much of his life as he enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing softball, and fishing. At the end of the day, though, his favorite team and biggest prize was his family.

He is survived by his loving wife Helen Crescenze; daughter, Debbie (Chris) Menci; three granddaughters, Tiffany Menci, Kaitlyn Menci, and Madison Menci; son, Richard M Crescenze; and sister, Caroline Mesaros. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Richard A Crescenze, Jr., brothers, Edward Crescenze and Raymond Crescenze, Judo Crescenze, and one sister, Angeline Zimbello.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 am - 11:00 am on Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at St Joseph Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Stark County Humane Society.
