Amy Liberty Turner passed away on April 14th at Utah Valley Hospital after a short battle with cancer. Amy was 51 years old and a resident of Mapleton, Utah.

Amy was born in Astoria, Oregon on November 11, 1970. Throughout her life, she lived in Oregon, California, and Utah, eventually settling in Mapleton, Utah. Amy loved to travel and experience new things. She often picked up new hobbies like painting and hiking and enjoyed spending time outdoors.

Amy treasured time with her family, especially her children, Kiki, Walker, Bronnson, Bailley, and Gavin. She also loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, who all have fond memories of their time with her.

Amy excelled in her professional life and was a designated Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and had a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management and Services. She was a highly regarded speaker on HR topics and was published in multiple industry publications. Over the last 20 years, Amy worked her way up from a Benefits Account Manager to being the Manager of the HR Advisory Team for a large HR Services company. She was known to her colleagues as a role model, mentor, and dedicated leader.

About her career in HR, Amy once wrote, "At the beginning of my work journey, I encountered harassment and discrimination and felt helpless. That's not a feeling I enjoy. So I got educated. I learned about HR employee relations and employment law and knew that I could make a difference. Knew that I could help employees and companies foster safe, inclusive environments where people could achieve and thrive in their work experience." Amy's struggles and frustrations led her to become an advocate for others experiencing the same things. She worked hard to help her clients create safer, more inclusive working environments for their employees.

Amy is survived by her husband, Ryan Turner; two children Kiernyn (Kiki) Evan Crum and Walker Easton Crum; three stepchildren Bronnson [Brooklyn] Turner, Bailley [Matt McLeroy] Turner, and Gavin Turner; parents Susan Swensen and William [Janet] Liberty; siblings Janell [Kimball] Hall, Victor [Jamie] Liberty, and Charlotte [Dave] Skala and half-brothers Jeffery Liberty and William Liberty; and 9 nieces and nephews.
