William Sims and Mable Lassell of Kent Co obtained a marriage license 27th Day Feb 1816 direted to the Rev. John Sharpley. Circuit Court Kent Co Jan 28 1852. Indiana Sims minor child of William Sims. Warrant 13,128. William Sims served in Capt. Henry Pages Co 28 days in April and May 1813 and 18 days in August 1814 and 10 days in Sep 1814. Warrant 42,421. Consolidate with No. 58,659. Enlisted Apr 15, 1813 discharged May 15, 1813. Mable Sims on Jan 21 1851 age 50 years resident of Kent Co declares she is the widow of William Sims deceased who was a private in the company commaned by Captain Henry Page in the 21st Regt of Inf of Md Militia commanded by Col. Philip Reed. Her husband enrolled about 15th Aug 1813 and discharged 15th Sep 1813. She was married 27th Feb 1816 by Mr. Sharpley a minister of the Gospel and her name before was Mable Lassell and her husband died in the fall of 1843. Witnesses Margaret Miller and John Russell knew she was widow of William Sims. before David Arthur Justice of the Peace.

Kenton aged 30 years a reisdnet of Chestertown the next friend and guardian to Indiana Sims a minor aged 15 years who is a daughter and the only minor child of William Sims, late of Kent Co who was a priavte in Capt. Page's 21st Company as of March 3rd 1855. Mrs. Maybel Sims who made application for land hath since deceased per Rachel R. Kenton March 3, 1855. witness Elijah Dailey and William S. Lassell. #29415

DEED: On May 10 1823, Joseph Wickes 4th, Edward Anderson and Henry Tilghman, Trustees of the poor of Kent Co of one part and William Sims, of same county, farmer, of the other part do bind John Moore an orphan under care of the poor being nine years of age the 1st day of Oct now last past to apprentice with William Sims to dwell from the date of these presents until John Moore shall arrive at the age of 21 years and to behave honestly and orderly towards the rest of the family and William Sims to teach him to read and write and arithmateric as far as the rule of three and the occupation of farmer .

DEED: On May 10 1823 Joseph Wickes 4th, Edward Anderson, Henry Tilghman Trustees of the poor of one part and William Sims farmer of the other part do agree for Levi Fiddis, an orphan under the care of the Poor House being 9 years of age the first day of Feb now last past to reside with William Sims to learn to read, write and arithmatic and the occupation of farmer.
