Mrs. Burkett was born in 1871, a daughter of the late Patrick and Bridge Guerin of Malone. Nov. 26, 1891, she married Mr. Burkett at St. Mary's church in Brushton, Rev. Mr. Brice officiated at the ceremony. Their married life was spent on their farm where Mr. Burkett died in 1931.
Mrs. Burkett was a devoted member of St. Mary's Church at Brushton, and of the Holy Rosary Society of the church.
She is survived by two sons, Bernard of Moira and Floyd of Saranac Lake; brothers, William Guerin of Malone and John Guerin of Bangor; three sisters, mrs. Marguerite Sabourin of Saranac Lake, Mrs. George McNassar of Bangor and Mrs. Catherine Hasford of Malone. Interment was made in the parish cemetery at Brushton.
