Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Troy Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.
Max was born Oct. 27, 1947, in Booneville, Miss., to Charles and Birdie Kathleen Braddock. He moved to Amarillo in 1956, where he married and raised his family. Max loved to sing and play guitar with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Braddock.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Stephens and Cindy Braddock, both of Amarillo; a son, Steven Braddock of Amarillo; his partner, Cookie Ruthrauff of Amarillo; four sisters, Barbara Helton, Judy Spain, Ethel Braddock and Kristi Anderson, all of Amarillo; a brother, Jerry Braddock of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
