Donna Wentz Bleggi
1940 - 2022

Early Life: Donna was born March 27, 1940, in Provo Bench (Orem), Utah, to Charles Mastin and Belva Hills Wentz, the seventh of their nine children. She grew up in a loving family on their farm in Mapleton, Utah, with her six sisters and two brothers. She met her sweetheart and future husband, Billy, at a Springville High School dance.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: On February 6, 1958, she married William "Bill" Bleggi, spending 63 years together before his passing in 2021. They were wonderful parents to Bret, Andy and Shelly.
Donna and Bill lived with their family in Utah, Wyoming, Alaska, and Bellevue, Washington, before retiring to Mapleton, Utah, in 1994. She worked in the shipping and banking industries and attended University of Alaska Anchorage. Upon retiring, Bill and Donna started Blue Wing Studio, a successful art gallery and framing business. Donna's creativity, love of art, and an eye for design help the business flourish. Donna had a gift for designing and sewing clothing, creating beautiful pieces for herself and her family. She also loved tatting and crocheting. After losing most of her sight to macular degeneration in her sixties, she taught herself how to knit and strongly adapted to the new challenges her visual impairment presented. Her strength and determination were qualities she showed throughout her life. She was an avid reader and a lifelong learner. She was always available to help those in need. The most important thing to her was her family. She loved being Grandma Donna to her eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She and Bill traveled throughout the country, never wanting to miss graduations, weddings, and other special events in their children and grandchildren's lives. She was kind, smart, loving, and had a great sense of humor. Donna Wentz Bleggi, of Mapleton, Utah, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2022. She was 82.
Family Message: "The family would like to thank Ashford Assisted Living and A Plus Hospice for their care and support during Donna's final time...please consider a donation to American Macular Degeneration Foundation."
