Lawrence "Larry" Aubry, 85, of Lambertville, Michigan, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. Born June 20, 1936, in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of Frank X. and Ruth E. (Desmond) Aubry. Larry was a 1954 graduate of Central Catholic High School and then received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Toledo. He married Joyce Nerswig on October 18, 1958. He was employed in sales for the former Jones Transfer Company for over 35 years. Larry was one of the founding members and a past Commodore of North Cape Yacht Club in LaSalle, Michigan. His passion was being on the water, racing his sailboats, and fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joyce; children, Mary Beth (David Goodwin) Aubry, Laurie Ghesquiere, and Tammy (Chuck) Huss; sister, Mary Abel; grandchildren, Lindsey, Alex, Tyler (Kendra) Huss, Ann Marie Wojciechowski, and Stacey (Mike) Applegate; great-grandchildren, Mary, Sloane and Nolan. Larry was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Wojciechowski; grandson, Brian Ghesquiere; sister, Evelyn Pearson, and brothers, Jack and Joseph Aubry.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, May 6, 2022, at St. Clement Catholic Church, 3030 Tremainsville Rd. Toledo, Ohio 43613. A memorial mass will follow at noon. His high school classmate, Fr. James Auth will celebrate his mass. We would like to give a special thank you to the caregivers and staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
