William Lynn "Will" Holt, age 86, of Kuttawa, KY passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Will loved his family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and played bass guitar. He played with several gospel groups including The Smith Brothers and wrote a song that was recorded by them. Will was a survey engineer and retired from H & G Construction.

Survivors include his wife of sixty five years, Daythel Cotton Holt, Kuttawa, KY; one son, Ron (Susan) Holt, Grand Rivers, KY; four daughters, Teresa (Keith) Young, Marion, KY; Michelle (Steve) Herring, Eddyville, KY; Jill (Duwayne) Arnold-Matz, Thompsons Station, TN; Amy (Thad) Council, Paducah, KY; one sister, Emma (Walter) Johnson, Kuttawa, KY; fifteen grandchildren, Alex Holt, Kameron Holt, Katelyn Gillum, Chelsey Gillum, Kellon Baccus, Chase Johnson, Tori Gray, Ryan Young, Danielle Frady, Matt Herring, Kelley Burton, Mark Herring; Jocelyn Arnold, Jonathan Arnold and Chelsey Council; sixteen great grandchildren, Bryson Travelstead, Bailey Travelstead, Brooklyn Travelstead, Bella Baccus, Trice Gray, Kate Gray, Ellison Young, Peyton Frady, Paisley Frady, Luke Burton, John Burton, Sarah Grace Herring, Johnson Herring, Sophia Byassee, Alayna Arnold and Ellisyn Morris, and several nieces and nephews.
Will was preceded in death by his parents, Ules and Susan Jane Parrent Holt, two sisters, Eula Mae Robertson and Geneva Bridges; three brothers, Paul Holt, Lloyd Holt and Harold Holt and one granddaughter, Keira Grace Holt.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville and on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Friday, May 6, at the funeral home with Rev. Mike Boyd and Rev. Fred Lowrance officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery in Lyon County.
