Information taken from the Carroll County Cemeteries book. Volume 2. Published by the Carroll County (MO) Genealogical Association of Carrollton, Missouri.

As of May 1, 2022, there is no visible stone. However, Unknown at this time if a headstone will be found for this base. It was unearthed by Jeff Waters, of rural Carrollton, mid-May, 2022. This base was about 6-8" deep, although the photo may make it appear deeper. It seems to be sitting sideways, in comparison to the handful of stones still sparsely scattered across the cemetery. Jeff will return to bring the base back to the surface, and do more prodding to try to locate a stone for it. Nearby were two broken footstones. One has the initials P.J. and the other is blank. Currently the list of interments, were mostly taken from the collection of information by Glen Hill and his helpers during the late 1990's for publication in the Cemetery books of Carroll County. Included in that list were Pheobe Johnson and her husband, Columbus Johnson. The footstone with initials could possibly belong to Pheobe.

Update:
On 24 July 2022, the pieces of Phoebe's headstone were unearthed, by Jeff Waters. There was enough readable inscription to identify it as hers.

Those of us who wish we could 'save them all', in regards to keeping these aging cemeteries from their demise, wish to thank the Jeff Waters of the world. Jeff, presently 66 years old, had driven by this cemetery numerous times and finally 'couldn't stand it anymore', and went home for his mower and tools.

Special thanks to Carolina Grave Hunter, Contributor 47321203 for doing the research to link her to two of her daughters.
