Euphrosine (Eufroisine) Labauve was born on July 31st, 1812. She was baptized on May 14th 1814. Her father was Isidore Labauve, and her mother was Jeanne Granger, both Acadians who were exiled. She had a total of 6 siblings, including Dominique Labauve, who along with Victor Labauve, moved to Texas to create Texana and the Labauve Cemetary, and Eulalie "Elizabeth" Labauve, wife of Zenon Labauve, Judge of New Orleans.

Eufroisine married Valentin Hebert, a commissioner for the 6th Judicial District Court, on April 18th, 1831 and had 8 children together, before his death on February 24th, 1852. In his will, Terence Derichebourg, another Commissioner that he perhaps knew fondly, was told to marry Eufroisine, I guess to take care to their younger children at the time. The two married in 1852. They have been married for 15 years until her husbands passing on August 13th, 1867, at the age of 69. In his will, Eufroisine had been sworn in as Administrator on her husbands land, along with her older brother, Guy Labauve (1808-1869).

No other information is known about Eufroisine after being sworn in as Admin of her late husbands land, and after Guy Labauve's death. I have heard that she maybe buried with St. John the Baptist in West Baton Rouge or in the Mullato Cemetary. I would love to have more information on her whereabouts as well as a photo if possible. All I know is that she lived a very interesting life, raising her children, and caring for her husbands land in his absence.
