JAMES CALDWELL, 79, of Memphis, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at Saint Francis Hospital of cancer. James was retired from Buckeye Cellulose after 32 years. He was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and a World War II Navy veteran. He leaves his wife, Evie L. Mills Caldwell; one son, Carl Mark Caldwell of Memphis; one sister, Mamie Young of Saltella, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Johnny was preceded in death by his son, James Harold Caldwell; his parents Ruth Ester Downs and James David Caldwell; his sisters: Ruby Mae Caldwell Wimberly, Irene Caldwell Grant, Pauline Caldwell Hargrove, and Dorothy Caldwell Murray.
