In addition to keeping a home for joe and her eight children, she worked for Olsonite, Algoma WI for twenty four years until retiring. Alice and Joe enjoyed traveling to many countries throughout the world, and dancing at Kubsch's ballroom. When the children were younger she had a huge garden and enjoyed canning the vegetables of that garden. Hundreds of quarts of tomato juice and other veggies were canned to be part of the family meals throughout the following year. An excellent cook and baker, no family gathering was complete without a dessert made by her. Her deviled eggs were always looked forward to, and were just enjoyed last Christmas. In her later years, lice enjoyed crossword and word search puzzles.
