William E. Brusky, was born in the Town of Carlton to the late W. Edwin and Mary (Jorgensen) Brusky on December 17, 1944. He went to Carlton Graded and Kewaunee High School, graduating in 1963. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves after his junior year of High School and upon graduation in 1963 he was sent to Parris Island Marine Boot Camp. After six months of boot camp, he came home and got engaged to his now wife, Karen Koudelka. They have been married 57+ years. He worked for Hamacheck Machine Co. for 3 years and then went to work for the Kewaunee County Highway Department for 34+ years until retirement. He enjoyed trap shooting, deer hunting, watching the Packers, and NASCAR racing. Bill is survived by his wife, Karen Brusky; daughter, Lisa (Keith) Peterson; son, Craig (Chris) Brusky; grandchildren, Amber (Dave) McGraw, Josh (Amber) Gerdmann, Katlyn (Pablo) Gerdmann, Tyler (Julia) Brusky, Ashle (Dave) Brusky, Marie (Colten) Mancheski, Brandon (Kelly) Rose; 11 great-grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; sister, Marie Tess; daughter-in-law, Kari Kustka; as well as by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Mary; his son, Bill Brusky; 2 brothers, Myron (Pearl) Brusky, Wilfred (Shirley) Brusky; sister, Alice (Joe) Glish; and brother-in-law, John Tess. Remember, Once a Marine, always a Marine, Semper Fi!, --Bill Visitation will take place at Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services – Kewaunee, on Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 4-7 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue 9-11 Monday at St. Hedwig;'s Catholic Church – East Krok. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am with Fr. Dennis Drury officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery with full Military Rites.
