ANDERSON, MELOISE, Age 63, passed away on Sunday morning, January 13, 2008 at her residence.
Born in Benton Harbor, MI, on March 20, 1944, she grew up in Orlando, FL where she graduated from Evans High School, Class of 1962.
In 1966, while living in West Palm Beach, FL she met and married Ronald Anderson. They remained in the West Palm Beach area until moving in 1975 to Blackshear, GA.
In January of 1978 they moved to Douglas, GA where they opened and operated Anderson Pontiac Buick Oldsmobile and GMC. While living in Douglas, GA she served on the Board of the Parks and Recreation Department.
After vacationing in Fernandina, FL for several years, the family moved here in April of 1988 and purchased Reynolds Oldsmobile, which eventually became Ron Anderson Chevrolet Pontiac Buick and GMC.
As her husband worked to build the family business. Mrs. Anderson was the backbone of home life for their children, being involved in their school functions as well as their sporting events. A lover of all sports, she was an avid tennis player, having been a member of the First Coast Tennis League as well as the Riverside team in Jacksonville, FL. A woman who never liked to lose, Mrs. Anderson has coached many children's teams, instilling the winning spirit in many young athletes. She had been a volunteer at Fernandina Beach High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fernandina, FL.
She leaves behind, her husband of 42 years, Ron Anderson, Fernandina Beach, FL; their children, Aleesa Williams and her husband Ralph, Fernandina Beach, FL, Eddie Anderson and his wife Hilary, Douglas, GA, Lindy Kavanaugh and her husband Hardee, Fernandina Beach, FL, Joel Howard and his wife Jackie, Stuart, FL; her mother, Mrs. Maggie Howard, Stuart, FL; one brother, Charles Howard and his wife Carolyn, Bradenton, FL; one sister, Gloria Brown and her husband Ike, Melbourne, FL; ten grandchildren, Brett Moore, Jake Anderson, Jessica Howard, Dylan Williams, Luke Anderson, Josh Howard, Cam Williams, Avery Anderson, Kate Kavanaugh, Will Kavanaugh and several nieces and nephews.
