Roger W. Kieselhorst, 69, Manitowoc, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 at his residence.

Roger was born on June 28, 1952 in Manitowoc to the late Werner and Regina (Lenz) Kieselhorst. Upon graduation, Roger served his country in the United States Army, retiring after 22 years. He was renowned for enlisting several hundred new recruits during his time as one of the Army's top recruiters in the state. He was married to the former Donna J. Barbeau from 1974-1980. Then on November 25, 1989, he married the former Rita M. Anderson, they shared 36 years together and remained married until his death. Following his retirement from the Army, Roger got back into farming. Roger really enjoyed farming and continued to farm for over 28 years. Roger was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where he was active on the church council. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, who was always willing to help out. In his spare time, Roger enjoyed fishing, bowling and watching football.

Roger is survived by his wife: Rita M. Kieselhorst, Manitowoc; children: Jeremy (Amber) Kieselhorst, DePere, Eric (Heather) Kieselhorst, NC, Heather Foster, MI, John (Jennifer) Kieselhorst, Two Rivers, Tiffney (Ryan) Murdock, Oconto Falls, Amber (Peter) Hansen, Kiel, Adam (Melissa) Kieselhorst, Two Rivers, and Russ Kieselhorst, NC; 15 grandchildren: Christos (Courtney) Sparacino, Kaleb, Kaden, and Kiah Kieselhorst, Austin Kieselhorst, Cory Warner, Caroline Foster, Brenden and Brooklyn Kieselhorst, John and Kendra Danoff, Cole "Buddy" (Crista) Danoff, Rulin Murdock, Diesel and Cam Hansen; Great Grandson, Canyon Danoff; bonus grandchildren: Kash and Danielle Simmer; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Russell and Dona Anderson; one brother and two sisters-in-law: Frank (Helen) Kieselhorst, and Jennifer Kieselhorst; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Rhonda Knope, Rose (Rick) Campbell, and Becky Lindgren; nieces, nephews, other relatives also survive. Roger was preceded in death by his parents: Werner and Regina Kieselhorst; one sister and brother-in-law: Donna (Leonard) Buck; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Larry Kieselhorst, and Ronnie (Lila) Kieselhorst; three brothers-in-law: Mark Anderson, Rick Anderson and Paul Knope.

Funeral services to celebrate Roger's Christian victory will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 916 Pine Street Manitowoc WI, with Pastor Matt Zimpelmann officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 5-8:00 pm at the church and again on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Military services will be accorded by American Legion Post 88, immediately following the service.
