Harry served his country as a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and dining at many restaurants with his brother. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Harry is survived by his wife, Carole Downs; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Floyd (Judy) Downs of Lancaster and Charles (Pam) Downs of New Lexington, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his first wife: Arlene (Willison) Downs; his siblings and their spouses: Leona (Donald) Clapsaddle, Betty (Charlie) Campbell, Jacob (Doris) Downs, Robert (Elma) Downs, James (Dorothy) Downs and an infant brother: Richard Downs.
Friends may call Friday, May 20, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, at the Roberts Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington. Funeral service will be held 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the Funeral Home with Pastor Kristin Santigo officiating.
Burial will conclude in New Lexington Cemetery with Somerset American Legion Post 58 conducting full military honors.
