Mrs Susan Wickline died Saturday evening at 7:40 o'clock, of heart trouble, at the home of her son, W W Wickline, of Fifth Avenue.
Mrs Wickline had not been in very good health for several years, but was not seriously ill until Wednesday night when she was taken sick and her condition was regarded as serious from the first and she gradually grew worse until death relieved her suffering at the time mentioned.
Mrs Wickline was 78 years of age and prior to her marriage to Mr A F Wickline was Miss Susan Burdette of Second Creek Monroe county where she was born and lived until her marriage.
Mrs Wickline has been making her home for the past few years with her son E F Wickline in Huntington until April when she came here to visit her son W W Wickline where she died.
She was a member of the Fist Presbyterian church at Huntington and had been for many years. She was a good Christian woman and was known to many people of this city and leaves many friends.
Mrs Wickline leaves to mourn her loss two sons, E F Wickline of Huntington and W W Wickline of this city; also two daughters, Mrs A C Dawson of Logan, and Mrs A G McGougan of New Haven, Conn. She also leaves one sister Mrs Patton of Ronceverte.
The funeral services were conducted at the home this afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev Lacy and the remains were laid to rest in Hill Top Cemetery beside her husband who preceded her to the grave 22 years ago.
