Died - Sunday evening, February 17, at the residence of his son, Mr Frank Burdette, in Loveland, Robert C Burdette, in his 76th year. He was born in Greenbrier county, Virginia, in 1819. The deceased has been a life long member of the presbyterian church and for over forty years held the honorable position as ruling elder of that church. Several days ago he was taken sick, but was thought to be getting better when the summons came, calling him home, and with the fortitude of a christian who relies on God's promise of an everlasting life beyond, he bade loved ones good bye and peacefully closed his eyes in that sleep which knows no waking. The funeral services were held at Mr Burdette's residence, owing to other members of the family being sick and not able to attend at the church. Rev Ferguson conducted the ceremonies and the body was laid to rest in the Loveland cemetery. The funeral, in spite of the inclement weather, was largely attended by sympathizing friends.
