C.P. Alexander, of Sharon, Dies at Age of 68 Years-Funeral at Sharon Church at 3 Today.

C.P. Alexander, a prominent farmer of Mecklenburg, was found dead in bed yesterday morning. Heart failure was attributed as the cause of his death, although he had been in failing health for a numbe of years due to his advanced age. He was 68 years old.

Mr. Alexander was born and reared in Mecklenburg and spent his entire life in this county. He was one of the most progressive farmers of this section of the state and was at all time ready to co-operate for the upbuilding of his county. For more than 40 years he was an elder in Sharon church.

The funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 3 o'clock at Sharon church. The services will be in charge of Rev. C.H. Little, pastor.

Deceased is survived by three daughters and four sons: Mrs. L.B. Hood, Mrs. Wade Rankin, Mrs. A.M. Rea, all of Charlotte; Eugene Alexander, of Raeford, A.Q. Alexander, of Charlotte; R.W. Alexander, of Plantz City, Fla, G.T. Alexander of Charlotte.
