Dorothy V. Allen, 86, of Richmond, died January 2, 2008. Surviving are her daughter, Bernice R. Thompson; two sons, James M. Allen (Sirena) and Floyd Allen Jr.; six grandchildren, Ronald Ragin, Rosaland Blue (Sherman), Denise Harris, Shane, Monishia and Chance Chappell; six great grandchildren, D'andrae Blue, LaNorris, Manuel and Samuel Ragin, DeShawn Chappell and Shahona Braxton; brother-in-law, Horace Allen (Olivia); devoted friends, Gladys Perry, Bernard and Lozalia Jones and Kim Gatewood Harvey; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott-Lightfoot Funeral Home, 3021 N Street. Funeral services will held 11 a.m. Monday, January 7 at Good Shepard Church, 1200 N 28th Street. Rev. Dr. Sylvester T. Smith, officiating, Interment Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, make donations to Good Sheppard Baptist Church Building Fund.
