Eugene Lester, age 74, of Richmond, died December 7, 2007. Surviving are his wife, Irene W. Lester; a daughter, Anita G. Lester; three brothers, devoted, Edward J. (Linda), James and Wallace L. Simmons; host of nieces and nephews, devoted, Andrew C. and Eugene Lester Simmons; five sisters-in-law, Edythe Gaines (Samuel), Lillian Meekins, Ruth Jones (Joseph), Luvenia Goode and Pauline Bracey (Robert); five god children, Wallace Bracey, Lucia Watkins, Marvin Doughtie, Pamela Andrews and Eugene Peay, IV; other relatives and friends. He was retired from Phillip Morris Tobacco Co. after 33 years of service. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Tuesday, December 11 at Antioch Baptist Church, 1384 New Market Road. Rev. James L. Sailes, officiating. Interment Washington Memorial Park.
