Catherine was the third of 11 children born to Mathias and Anna Mary (Meier) Delort. She married Clifford C Jones. Together they had 2 children: Karen P and Robert H.

Catherine A. Jones, a longtime San Leandro resident passed away on January 12, 2008 at the age of 89. Born December 26, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois she was the 3rd eldest of nine children. Catherine is survived by her daughter Karen P. Nobriga of Castro Valley, her son and daughter in law Robert H. and Diana Jones of Danville, her sister Rita Briesch of Illinois, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and her close friend Louise Noriega. Her husband of 38 years, Clifford C. Jones, son in law John A. Nobriga, seven of her brothers and sisters and her close friend and traveling companion Alma Dorothy Nobriga preceded her in death. Catherine was a member of St. Felicitas Parish. She was a contributor to Loaves and Fishes and was a volunteer for CARH. She was an avid crocheter, knitter and reader. Catherine worked for Montgomery Wards in Oakland for 25 years. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday January 17, 2008 at St. Felicitas Church 1662 Manor Blvd. San Leandro with the Funeral Liturgy following at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward. In lieu of flowers donations to Loaves and Fishes c/o St. Felicitas Church preferred.
