Professional Baseball Player. She was a left-handed pitcher that played in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL) for the Chicago Colleens (1949), the Muskegon Lassies (1950) and the South Bend Blue Sox (1950–1951). She joined the AAGPBL while she was still 16 and they required her to have her parents permission to join. After joining the league she was assigned to the Chicago Colleens/Springfield Sallies rookie touring teams, so she could develop her skills. She was a member of the 1951 South Bend Blue Sox Championship team. She is part of Women in Baseball, a permanent display based at the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, New York. In her career she played in 83 games batted in 21 runs and a batting average of .292.
