!BIRTH-In 1810, on the 17th of May in front of the Mayor, Officer of the civil state, community of Schleithal, District of Lauterbourg, department of Bas Rin comes this Durant, George, a 29 year old blacksmith living at Schleithal. He names and presents this infant, a male child, born today at 7 o'clock in the morning and declares that Anne Marie Paul, his wife, gave birth to him. His name is Peter. Witnesses declare and present the facts in the presence of Caspar Paul, a 24 year old shoemaker, and John Sigrist, a 58 year old (Baveur de Rue) taster on the street. These two living in this community, and the father and witnesses signed the birth document.
Burial: St. Nicholas Parish Record shows PETER DURANT died 26 May 1870 of Dyspepsia; buried 29 May 1870, Saint Thomas Cemetery
