MRS.ALINE WILCOX PITTMAN, 73, died Sunday (April 1, 2001) morning at Baptist Village following a short illness. She was a native of Ware County and had resided most of her life in Ware County. She was married to the late Odis M. Pittman and was daughter of the late Mitchell Monroe Wilcox and Emma Lee McClellan Wilcox and was preceded death by a brother, Grady Wilcox. Mrs. Pittman was former employee of the Waycross Sitter Service and graduated in 1945 from Bacon County High School. She was a member of the Gilchrist Park United Methodist Church and the Young at Heart Group. The survivors include two sons, Larry M. Pittman (wife Cherry) of Hoboken, Gary M. Pittman (wife A. Faith Copeland Pittman) of Woodbine; two grandchildren, Michelle E. Pittman of Hoboken, Haley B. Pittman of Woodbine; two sisters, Emma Jean Martin of Baxley, Martha Ann Deen of Hattiesburg, Miss.; 1 brother, Dorman M. Wilcox of Alma. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday (April 3, 2001)in the Gilchrist Park United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Music Funeral Home tonight from 6 until 8 oclock.
