OAK GROVE, LA - Funeral services for Edward Earl "Eddie" Anders, Sr., age 72 of Oak Grove, Louisiana will be held at 2 PM on Friday, July 1 2022 at Mt. Zion Church of God near Oak Grove, Louisiana.

Reverends David Sistrunk and Lucas House will officiate.

Interment will follow in the McGaha Memorial Cemetery in the Red Wing Community near Oak Grove.

Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Mt. Zion Church of God.

Eddie passed into eternal life on Monday, June 27, 2022 at his residence after a lengthy illness.

Eddie was a pipeliner for over 50 years. He loved music especially Lynyrd Skynryd. He could operate any kind of heavy equipment. He loved being outdoors fishing and hunting. He was very close to his brother, Joey.

He is preceded in death by his father, Arnold Edward Anders; his mother, Geneva (Freeland) Anders; son, Timmy Anders; and sister, Kathy Hilton.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Melody Lynn (Crimm) Anders of Oak Grove, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie Anders, Jr. and Amy Anders of Oak Grove, Louisiana; son Daniel Anders of Oak Grove. Louisiana; step son, Sean Sciortino of Lubbock, Texas; step son, Brian Sciortino of Rosehill, Mississippi; step daughter, Melody Sciortino of Prairieville, Louisiana; step daughter, Cynthia Sciortino of Oak Grove Louisiana; adopted son, Gabriel Sciortino of Oak Grove, Louisiana; brother and sister-in-law, Joey and Robin Anders of Oak Grove, Louisiana; 21 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; special niece, Christina Denton of Oak Grove, Louisiana; special nephew, Joey Anders, Jr. of Oak Grove, Louisiana; special nephew, Charlie Anders of Oak Grove, Louisiana; and special niece, Cayden Anders of Oak Grove, Louisiana.

Pallbearers are: Joey Anders, Jr., Jeremy Denton, Brandon Starks, Landon Anders, Ryan Bancroft, and Willie Aaron.

Honorary Pallbearers are: Dawson Hartley and Aiden Hickam.
