Turkish Actor and medical doctor. He started his career in the 1960s Arkın became known for starring in historical dramas taking place during the first centuries of the Ottoman Empire and Anatolian Seljuks, such as "Malkoçoğlu Cem Sultan" and "Battal Gazi." He gained success with these action-based films, then in the mid 1970s, he also acted in political films, the most famous being The Adam Trilogy directed by Remzi Aydın Jöntürk. Arkın and Jöntürk continued their collaboration on many other films. Cüneyt Arkın was also lead to some NGOs to introduce Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

In the 1980s, he became known abroad for the film "Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam" ("The Man Who Saves The World," also known as Turkish Star Wars), a low-budget science fantasy martial arts film.

He was married to Betül Arkın and had two sons.
