Mineso Daniel Kuroda was born on April 18, 1910, in Aiea, Hawaii. He was the eldest son of Toyoichi and Sekino Mishima Kuroda.

He had the following siblings: brothers Donald Haruyaki Kuroda; Ronald Haruto Kuroda; Wallace Haruso Kuroda; Robert Toshio Kuroda; Joseph Toshiaki (or Toshiyuki) Kuroda; and sisters Lucille Tsuneko Kuroda and Betty Toshea (or Toshie) Kuroda.

On March 21, 1935, Mineso Daniel Kuroda and Hanami Edna Yamamoto were married in Wailuku, Hawaii. She was the daughter of Tsunejiro and Moto Matsumura Yamamoto.

They had one son and one daughter. Mineso Kuroda owned Kuroda's Chevron service. Their son Peter Mineo Kuroda died in 1996.

His brother Robert Toshi Kuroda died in France in 1944. He was a member of the 442nd and was awarded the Medal of Honor in 2000.

Mineso "Dan" Kuroda died on August 10, 2006, in Honolulu County, Hawaii. He was survived by his widow, daughter, three brothers; one sister; six grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law; a brother-in-law; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. He had been a Charter member of the Aiea Lion's Club and a member of the Aiea United Methodist Church. Services were at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel on August 24, 2006, at 12:00 pm.
