Shirley and Joe at 1411 Lilac Lane, Machesney Park, Illinois for 53 years prior to moving into Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center in April 2021.
Shirley's passion was sharing the Good News of forgiveness, hope, and life through Jesus at all times and with all people, regardless of race, creed, or color. Her hobbies were reading, encouraging, serving, and praying for people. She had a simple faith in the Bible as the Word of God, which goes something like this: "God said it, I believe it, that settles it for me!" She leaves behind a legacy of contagious love and a very large group of family and friends who will miss her, but who know that one day soon they will all be reunited in God's glorious heaven.
Private burial service in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elmwood, IL. Future memorial service to be announced later.
