Wife of Reid Lafayette Allred and William M.Daniels
BOUNTIFUL-- Vaughn Corlett Allred Daniels, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on March 4, 2001 in Bountiful Utah because her life was over.
She was born May 23, 1908 in Hamiltons Fort, Utah to Thomas and May Benson Corlett. Her early years were spent in Utah County and she was a graduate of Provo High School. Vaughn attended Utah State University where her major was fashion design and textiles. After living and working in California, Vaughn moved to Price, Utah where she met and married Reid L. Allred on April 8, 1939. He passed away on May 1, 1968. She later married William M. Daniels. He passed away on December 28, 1971. During her years in Price, Vaughn was active in many community organizations. She was a past State President of Utah Ladies of Elks. She was a member of the LDS Church. Vaughn was a true lady, cultured, refined and dignified. She had a love of clothes and fashion and she always looked beautiful. She was a wonderful cook and she made her home an inviting and comfortable place. She was an accomplished seamstress, designing and sewing clothes for herself, her children and her grandchildren. Grandma Bonnie will be fondly remembered for her chicken collection which continued to grow every year. Vaughn loved the beauties of the earth, especially flowers and trees and she spent many enjoyable hours tending to them. She loved to learn and possessed a sharp mind and keen intellect. She valued education, reading and keeping up with current events. Those giving thanks for her life include a son, Dr. R. James Allred (Lynne), Salt Lake City; a daughter Claudia Crawford (Blaine), Center-ville; a sister, Beulah Boshard, Rocklin, CA.
Grandma Bonnie had a close personal relationship with each of her eight grandchildren, Kori, Ty, Mike, Susan, Shanen, Ryan, Elizabeth and Steven. She was blessed with 13 great-grandchildren who knew and loved her as their Granny.
The family wishes to express special thanks for the love, help and support given by the staff and her friends at the Inn on Barton Creek.
A viewing will be held Wednesday evening March 7, 2001 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main. The family will hold a private service on Thursday and will then meet at 2:30 p.m. at the Price City Cemetery where friends are invited to join them.
