Sandra "Sandy" Borkmann Badger, 76, of Westminster passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Sandy was born on November 6, 1945 in Baltimore to the late Edward and Annetta Gent Borkmann. She was the loving wife of 45 years of Levin Francis Badger.
Sandy was a long-time deli worker at Super Fresh in Westminster.
In addition to her husband, Sandy is survived by daughters Dawn Smith and her husband, Clifford, of Westminster and Vicki Huster and her husband, Ed, of Glen Burnie, her brother Edward Borkmann and his wife Sharon of Glen Burnie, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She leaves five grandchildren, Ashley Coppersmith of Gettysburg; Brittany Coppersmith of Windsor Mill; Stanley Beck and wife Jenise of Glen Burnie; David Beck of Glen Burnie and Robert Beck and wife Rachel of Glen Burnie; six great-grandchildren, Conner and Skyler Muse; Kylie Zartman; Alex Beck; David Beck, Jr.; and Charlie Beck.
Sandy was a huge Elvis fan. She enjoyed duckpin bowling and cooking. During her childhood, she spent much of her time fishing and crabbing off at the shore. Throughout her life, eating crabs remained one of Sandy's favorite things to do. Most of all, Sandy adored her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Sandy was predeceased by her brother, Kenneth Borkmann.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022 at 11 am at John Luther Miller cemetery; Bachman Valley Road, Westminster, MD 21158.
