She was born to the late Kenneth L Estabrook and Edna Weyrich on February 20, 1932, in Toledo, OH.
Beverly spent her early years attending public school in Dayton, Ohio, before attending Miami University of Ohio, where she became a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and the Sweetheart of Sigma Chi fraternity. Prior to attending college, Beverly was a model and dancer, and toured with the Horace Heidt band throughout the US and Europe.
Beverly was preceded in death by her first husband Robert S Essel, Minneapolis, whom she met in college, and by her 2nd husband Alfonso (Al) Hirt, New Orleans, whom she met on tour and reconnected with many years later. Family and friends were Beverly's passion and delight. She was actively involved in all phases of her children's life as a hockey mom to her sons and a horse mom to her daughter. Beverly is survived by her children, Robert (Buz) Essel (Kathy), Show low, AZ, William Essel, Minnetonka, MN, and daughter Beverly Wallace, Mankato, MN.
She is survived by six grandchildren, Erin Kolb (Rick), Robert Wallace (Emmy), Taylor Wallace (Kacie), Corey Essel, Cody Essel and Caitlin Essel (Paul). She is also survived by seven great grandchildren, Dillon Kolb, Wylan Kolb, Mariah Wallace, Greta Wallace, Lauren Wallace, Krew Hatle and Gatlin Wallace.
The family gives all of those at the "The Glenn Minnetonka" and entire staff along with others who cared for Beverly their greatest and warmest gratitude.
Beverly's cremated remains will be placed with her husband Robert Essel at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
