Bill was a outlaw who went by Alias of William T Bobo and William F Bobo. His father was Andrew Jackson Bobo who became Sheriff of Bastrop, Louisiana in 1860. Bill had been arrested for shooting a sheriff that tried to arrest him and escaped with the help of his wife Mattie by putting her clothes on an walking out the jail right past the sheriff. In January of 1888 the citizens gathered together to form a lynch mob and ultimately hung two of the three members of the gang and shot Bill in the head while he stood in the street with his mother when he tried to reach in boot for his gun but was too late he died which his gun in his hand. His mother fell to the ground and attempted to put his head together and took the gun from her son's hand and fired into the crowd.
