Larry Kenneth Tate, 79 of Ruckersville, Va., passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Acute Care in Charlottesville, Va. He was born on August 2, 1942 to the late John Kenneth Tate and Mary Emma Dobbs Tate. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn Marie Tate Dillingham.

Larry retired as Vice President of Comdial; was a member and trustee of Spring Hill Baptist Church, and member of American Legion Post 128 of Stanardsville, Va. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army Reserves.

He is survived by his wife, Rosa Lee Clatterbuck Tate; son, Chris Tate of Boulder, Co.; brother, John Ray Tate and wife Biancia of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Lyndsey C. Dillingham and Peyton T. Dillingham.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Spring Hill Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Pastor Steve Nethery will officiate. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service.
