Mrs. Atchison Called By Death
Mrs. Alice Atchison, widow of the late Sam Atchison and a pioneer of this section, died at 10:00 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hans Korup, following a lingering illness. She suffered a stroke of paralysis about two years ago and a second one came Wednesday morning.
The funeral date has not been definitely set but will probably be Sunday afternoon at the Northam chapel.
Mrs. Atchison, whose maiden name was Gardner, was born Mar. 9, 1860, at Litchfield, Ill. She came to Weiser in October, 1898. Her husband died February 6, 1928. She is survived by a son, James Kilpatrick, of Orange, Calif, and the daughter here; three grandchildren, Fred and Francis Korup of this city and James Kilpatrick of Orange, Calif., and seven great grandchildren.
During her active life, Mrs. Atchison took an active part in and was past president of the Weiser Ladies of the G. A. R. circle.
