7 May 1903 Angelo Giannetta arrived in Port of New York on the S.S. Roma. He had departed Naples 22 April 1903. Age 37, a Laborer, country Avellino, last residence Trevico, final destination Scranton, he had $12, never before in the US, meeting his brother "Mickele" Giannetta.

2 Jan 1904 is the S.S. Patria's arrival date on the passenger list, but the ship actually arrived on 31 Dec 1903 and was held because of the new year. This is supported by arrivals in a New York paper. Research is ongoing. I have yet to find several family members in the 1920 US Census, but the spelling of the Giannetta surname is all over the place. Angelo's 1944 Pennsylvania Certificate of Death No. 15263 with information provided by Angelo's son Vito is father Vito Giannetta born in Trevico, Italy and mother "Filomenia Regello" also from Trevico. He was widowed and his date of birth was given as 1864.
