Alzina Stoves Barabin, 77, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Houma, passed away peacefully at 9:02 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2017.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, at Dularge Community Baptist Church, 549 Andrew St. in Houma. Burial will follow in Deweyville Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Barabin Sr.; sons, Charles Barabin Jr. (Angela) and Ron Barabin Sr. (Latrell) ; daughter, Jean B. Harris (Joe): 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Sims Stoves; brothers, Benjamin and Larry Stoves; sisters, Anna Thompson, Arinola Porter, Earline Patterson, Iona Barnes and Jacquelyn Bass; maternal grandparents, Jimmie and Lillie Sims; and paternal grandparents, Charlie and Suzanne Stoves.
