Mr. Chapple McPhail, 84, of 125 Taylor St., Americus died Friday morning, Nov. 13, 2009 at Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, from the graveside at Andersonville National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. todaym Nov. 15, 2009, at the funeral home.Mr. McPhail was born Sept. 28, 1925, in Laurens County, Georgia, the son of the late Robert Cleveland McPhail and Ida Johnson McPhail. He was owner operator of First Jewelers in Americus for many years before his retirement and was of the Christian faith. Mr. McPhail was also a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy.Mr.
