James L. Morrell, 63, of North Market Street, Selinsgrove, passed away on Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, at his home. He was born Sept. 8, 1952, in Astoria, Ore., a son of Dorothy Mae (Barrett) Walker, of Washington State, and the late Louis Nick Morrell. On Feb. 8, 2002, he married the former Debroh Kay Hurd who preceded him on June 23, 2015. He was a faithful member of Christ Community United Methodist Church, Selinsgrove, and participated in the Busy Bees and the funeral committee at the church serving lunches. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, one son, and three brothers. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at the Christ Community United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Randall G. Bennett Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Chestnut Hills Cemetery, Winfield. Contributions to help defray funeral costs may be made to Christ Community United Methodist Church, 3939 Park Road, Selinsgrove, PA 17870.
